Fern Gully is a former riverbed and runs about three miles through the valley. When you drive through, you will see an abundance of beautiful ferns and hardwood trees.

Before the earthquake in 1907 this was one of the eight flowing rivers in the Ocho Rios area. Surprisingly, the river vanished during the earthquake and the riverbed was paved into a road.

Driving through Fern Gully is absolutely breathtaking. The air is amazingly crisp and pure.

Shaw Park Gardens & Waterfalls is located in the hills of Ocho Rios. This is a very nice outing for nature loving families and garden enthusiasts.

This place is also a photographer’s dream! This is home to gorgeous birds, plants, flowers and a small waterfall.

This is a nice excursion if coming from the cruise port and can be easily combined with Dunn’s River Falls all in the same day. The view of the Ocho Rios harbour from the top of Shaw Park is just stunning.

Konoko Falls is a great retreat to relax within nature and take a journey through Jamaica’s historic past.

It is nestled in the hills of St. Ann and you will get an amazing panoramic view of Ocho Rios.

Konoko Falls has a rainforest, museum, gift shop, feeding station, juice bar, bridal lounge, mini zoo, jerk pit and bar, Columbus Café and beautiful crystal clear waterfalls.

There are parrots that they will put on your shoulder and a bird enclosure you can enter to feed birds by hand.

Konoko Falls is a quieter alternative to Dunn’s River Falls and an excellent alternative.
